If you are new to cancer treatments or just want to change up your gut, eating an alkaline diet is key to balance out all acids and maintain a base diet. We have noticed within our own eating when switching to an alkaline diet, overall health and attitude are better. We have more energy and feel more alert at the end of the day.
Now, we know not all diets and food plans are for everyone. We recommend this one during chemotherapy because it eliminates red meat and diary. Those two components removed from a diet have shown great progress and something any dietician/nutritionist would agree on.
You do not have to cut out all protein. You may enjoy poultry and seafood as well. The main issue is to make sure the items you are ingesting are low in acid to keep the gut at an even pH balance at the end of the meal.
Start by substituting the little things and then you will gradually find yourself wanting to eat the healthier food than the processed. Which is great for body, mind, and spirit.
